| The Northport Chorale was formed in September, 1982 as part of the Northport Continuing Education Program. Since then the Chorale has grown in size as well as accomplishments and has become a popular, familiar addition to many local events both within and outside the Northport Community. |

The Northport Chorale's new Director, Mr. Nicholas Hart has been teaching choir at Northport High School for the last six years. During his tenure at Northport he has co-directed the Tour Choir which has performed at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, multiple historical locations in Paris, France, including the American Cemetery at Normandy Beach, annual performances for the Veterans at the Northport VA and various churches both on Long Island and in NYC. Mr. Hart has performed as a cantor for Catholic churches throughout New York and is currently performing with the professional choir at Holy Trinity at 82nd street in Manhattan. He has also performed the National Anthem for the Town of Oyster Bay's "Music Under the Stars" concert series. Mr. Hart received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music and his Master of Education from C.W. Post. He currently teaches private voice and piano throughout Nassau/Suffolk County. He resides in Plainview with his wife Trish and twins Nicky & Julia.

Judy Pesner, a resident of Commack, is a free lance performer and private piano teacher with students ranging from age 6 to adult.
Judy received her Bachelor of Music Education at the State University College at Fredonia, NY. She was a member Northport Chorale from 1996-2006. Judy sang Alto and assisted the accompanist, as needed. She also spent several years as the Alto Section Leader, Board Member and Music Committee member.
Judy has accompanied several students for NYSSMA and college auditions as well as performing with Daniel Rodriguez and Barbara Divis, a local opera talent. Judy spends her mornings at the Guide Dog Foundation of Smithtown, where she works in the Administrative Office. |
